The New Theatre was opened in 1934 and boasts a traditional auditorium space, with additional break-out spaces available in recently refurbished bar areas. Every year, thousands of people flock through the doors of the New Theatre Oxford to see the best names from the world of theatre, music, opera, dance, comedy and more. Among the high profile shows to have visited the venue include War Horse, Mamma Mia!, Grease, Calendar Girls and Kinky Boots. It has also hosted sell-out gigs by acts such as Gary Barlow, Paul Weller, Kraftwerk, Jack Whitehall, Tim Minchin, Jimmy Carr and Romesh Ranganathan. The venue is not just about star names though, set in the heart of Oxford city centre it is the ideal location for conferences, meetings and private parties with room sizes to suit all.
